Brooklyn’s Caveman has put together a sound that is familiar yet unique. They offer four-part harmonies, eerie synths, bright guitars, and heavy percussion.Stereogum has already called them one of the 40 Best Bands of 2011. Their single, “Old Friend,” is the perfect example of their ability to build ominous chords that resolve into glowing, hopeful choruses. The band has played with the likes of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, White Rabbits, Here We Go Magic, Cursive, and Amazing Baby. They’re scheduled to play a bunch of shows at CMJ this year & their full-length, CoCo Beware, will be serviced to you in November. For now, grab the single and check their CMJ dates to catch the band before everyone is talking about them.
