New Music From Yael Meyer – “Fire” Remixes – Digital Servicing Only

Yael Meyer‘s newest album Everything Will Be Alright has already received praise from publications like Spin Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. Now she’s making her way down to her native country of Chile where she’ll be joining AmApAc artist Björk, Arctic Monkeys, TV on the Radio, and more for this year’s Lollapalooza in April. Before that, she’s releasing an EP with remixes from various artists for her single “Fire.” The first remix is from the Colombian/Argentinian duo Lulacruza, who have recently made a “visual album” with Vincent Moon, videographer of La Blogotheque’s Take Away Shows. They bring their style of “Shamanic electronica” (Rolling Stone) to Yael‘s“Fire,” in a version with South American percussion and deep, wompy bass.Entricut offers a remix that brings a beat and synth-line that sounds akin toRatatat‘s “Nostrand” while Ladyjunk‘s remix could easily fit on the Drive soundtrack. Computo compliments the single’s energy on his “Moombhaton Remix,” complete with high-pitched dub laser-synths.
