Joey Ramone: NPR’s Morning Edition & Biggest Mover on CMJ Charts

NPR recently featured Joey Ramone and his posthumous release …ya know?consisting of demos Joey left behind after his passing in 2001. The record was put together by brother Mickey Leigh and The Ramones‘ producer Ed Stasium. The segment interviews the two who offer some insight into Joey‘s musical youth and their intentions on releasing the record. Listen to the full feature here. The album was the biggest mover on the CMJ charts this past week jumping from #168 to #26. A one hour radio special was digitally serviced last week with extended interviews with Leigh, Stasium, & Steven Van Zandt.
