Yellow Red Sparks – EP Review

Orange County trio Yellow Red Sparks recently released their EP Four Steps in Corsets. The songs offer "a glimpse of what a full length offering from the trio will provide: a truly intimate experience." Robots for Hire reviewed the EP pointing out that "there’s a real sense of familiarity, comfort even, when taking in" the four-song EP. Opening song "Machine Gun" is personal but anthemic enough to keep the song from becoming too light. With stand-up bass accompaniment by band member Sara Lynn, the song leans more towards southern folk rock than anything. Read the full review here. Give the song a spin on the week before they join ZZ Ward on tour this month.
