Slam Dunk Music Video Premiere
Slam Dunk has shared with us the video for “Dying Breed” off of their second record, Welcome To Miami. The video begins as the band and friends shotgun beers to the opening chord of the song. There is a brief moment of solitude before the song gets going, where you see a sunny, but mostly empty street. Then it is back to the backyards, driveways, and (children’s playgrounds?), where the band and crew continue to shotgun beers, followed by dancing and jumping off roofs. Featuring several people in partial chainmail and one pantomimed horse, the video has the feel of a party being thrown by extras from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Here is what the band told Papermag, who premiered the video: “There was once a very loose plot but that was forgotten once shooting began. It was done in two days and the majority of the budget was spent on bucket hats and flood pants. The meaning of the video is up for interpretation.”
