Last week we serviced you the single from The Little Ones newest album, coming to you in early 2013. The group’s forthcoming album, The Dawn Sang Along, is powered by sun-crisped energy, a warm blast of rock songs that lean toward 1960s international pop, sampling from wherever Pan Am flew: from West African guitar strums to Caribbean beats to Brazilian bossa nova cool. The members of this Southern California band are motion merchants who dish out dance-in-your-underwear jams, upbeat anthems to forget about the troubles of an increasingly annoying world. In “Argonauts“, the first single from their upcoming album, the band offers a slice of tropical electro pop heaven and the perfect post-summer jam, conjuring images of equatorial ease and island living. In the last week, “Argonauts” has already received spins from KEXP and KCRW and has been featured on Rolling Stone and I Guess I’m Floating, who say they are still “creating instantly likable pop music, with a creative spark”.
