Gary Clark Jr. Climbing The Charts, Performs on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic

2012 is almost over, and yet Gary Clark Jr. doesn’t seem to have lost any momentum. His debut full-length, Blak & Blu reached a new peak last week on the CMJ Top 200 charts, coming in at #15. Earlier on that same day, he was on KCRW‘s Morning Becomes Eclectic, which featured a recorded performance and interview. In the performance, Clark reinvents each song on his record — bending each note to give it a new edge and channeling the band’s live energy to create a more raw sound. Watch the performance here. Just this past Saturday, Gary Clark Jr. performed with The Rolling Stones in Brooklyn.

As the year draws to a close, and the CMJ charts wrap up, we are looking to give Gary Clark Jr. one last push before 2013, so give it a spin!
