Dr. Dog – Going For Adds

B-Room, Dr. Dog’s latest album, is going for Adds this week. On this album, the band has evolved their sound into something much simpler, but still ambitious, which results in a vibrant collective voice. This collective voice was found by recording many of the album’s songs as live takes. Through these live takes, Dr. Dog discovered the soul roots ingrained in their Philadelphia background. “The Truth”, the Gamble and Huff inspired track that opens the album, is the most obvious display of these roots. The name of the album, B-Room, comes from the name of the studio Dr. Dog built to record this album; a studio that was an integral part of recording. Several albums later and over a decade of playing together, B-Room is Dr. Dog’s most soulful and cohesive album yet.
