Cass McCombs: At AAA Radio – Stereogum Feature

The double-album from Cass McCombs, Big Wheel And Others, is due out on Domino on 11/15, but we were treated to a sampler of the album last month. The sampler boasts the magical and woozy “Brighter!” which reunites McCombs with the late actress / singer / songwriter Karen Black. The song was recorded before her passing and showcases Black‘s unique brand of style – sounding “warm, poised, and entirely present on it.” Stereogum featured the song and you can listen to it here. WFIT and WHRV gave the sampler an Add this week and five more stations included it on their charts.
