Inside Llewyn Davis – Top 30 at CMJ – Dissolve Review

The soundtrack for the original motion picture Inside Llewyn Davis has jumped into the top 30 at CMJ this week, landing at #29. With the film now in theaters nationwide, DJs are starting to get a better grasp of the project. The film follows an aspiring folk musician who is trying to find his footing in the 60’s Greenwich Village scene, and the soundtrack compiles the film’s original music, which is a proper synopsis of the era’s folk history.  In a recent review, Dissolve wrote the music helps “fill out the world of the film”.
