Kathryn Calder Going for Adds

Kathryn Calder of New Pornographers has just released the first single, “Take A Little Time”, from her self-titled upcoming album. A prolific and interdisciplinary artist, Calder has already released two solo albums and is working on a documentary. “Take a Little Time” is a mobile, dangling synth pop song with floating vocals and bopping guitars. Stereogum describes it as, “an expansive, dreamy track that’s charged with emotion, moving through the weight of loss and building to an effusive climax that seems to simulate the eventual freedom of letting go.” You can look forward to the full album dropping mid-April featuring a whole host of prolific Vancouver artists including Dan Mangan, Jill Barber, and Hannah Georgas.
