Young Buffalo Going For Adds

Mississippi-based rock act Young Buffalo songwriters Ben Yarbrough and Jim Barrett started making music together as teenagers and never ceased evolving. The band now featuring drummer Tim Burkhead, bassist Andrew Guinn and keyboardist Will Eubanks, is excited to share their debut album House, 11-lively tracks produced by Dave Schiffman (HAIM, Weezer). With the good fortune of being birthed in such a fantastically diverse city, both artistically and culturally, House is a work that establishes Young Buffalo‘s sound as unique as the town where they formed.

Barrett explains, “We’re really honest with ourselves when it comes to what we create and that’s ultimately what keeps us interested to keep pushing forward.” An album built on references to the past yet taught in remaining irrevocably relevant today, House makes for a timeless and seamless record. Between the infectious melodies, upbeat instrumentation, and Barrett‘s dark lyrics – the 11 songs offer a diverse palette for listeners to draw from for what has become one of the most promising debuts this year.
