New Music from Fool’s Gold

Fool’s Gold have released 2 studio albums and played all over the world, from the UK to a show in Tel Aviv in front of 65,000 people. After touring in support of their sophomore record (Leave No Trace) in 2013the band took time off in their respective homes of Los Angeles to focus on the 10 songs that would eventually become their newest effort, Flying Lessons. On it, you will hear the group continue to exercise their veneration of Ethiopian and Congolese music, 1980s dance beats, and colorful arrangements. Recorded on a hot, late summer season, band members Luke Top (vocals/bass) and Lewis Pesacov (lead guitar) produced the album collaboratively using all analog recording equipment including a one of a kind mixing console and 16-track 1″ tape machine formerly owned by legendary producer and musician, JJ Cale. The album was mixed by friend Matt “Linny” Linesch at historic Ocean Way studios in Hollywood, the very spot where many of their hometown musical heroes such as The Beach Boys & Mamas and the Papas created some of their most iconic work. The lead single from their forthcoming album, “I’m In Love”, begins with a break beat and lifts off ever-so slightly with a lilting guitar until setting its sights for the sky during the song’s uplifting chorus. Interview Magazine had the exclusive premiere for the song’s magnetic music video, which you can watch here. Get reacquainted with Fool’s Gold with their new single.
