Kuroma Talks to the Horn, is Reviewed by Earbuddy – Touring w/ Tame Impala

Kuroma, the psych-rock fourpiece fronted by former MGMT and Whigs member Hank Sullivant, starts a tour opening for Tame Impala tomorrow night in Vancouver. Sullivant answered some questions for the Horn, telling interviewer James Roberts that the band’s third album Kuromarama is “more collaborative than the previous albums… [with a] more cohesive, better sound.” Check out the interview here to learn about Kuroma’s writing process, what it’s like for Sullivant to step out of the shadows of his former bands, and why the current iteration of Kuroma is “the final lineup.”

Kuromarama was recently reviewed by Earbuddy, which compares the band’s sound to that of T. Rex. According to the reviewer, “The album, while short, stays energetic and compelling… enjoyable the whole way though.” Read the whole thing here.
