Alpine is Featured as Clash’s Track of the Day and Talk to Buzzfeed

Alpine, the Australian sextet whose 2012 debut A is for Alpine made waves at Pitchfork and NPR, have released the first single from upcoming sophomore album Yuck. Check out that single, “Foolish,” here on Clash Music. Clash describes Alpine’s sound as “slinky, glamorous pop music shot through with style, with grace, with a sense of elegance – the sort of thing Bryan Ferry used to make in between trips to exotic locations.”

Thematically, Yuck explores the band’s “yuck” reaction to plastic vanity, distasteful romance, & foolish attraction. Thus, the band’s co-singers Lou James and Phoebe Baker recently sat down with Buzzfeed to talk about some things that make them go either “Yuck!” or “YAAASS.” Check out the animated listicle here to learn how the girls feel about Kimye and vegemite, amongst other things.
