Vetiver Talks Records with WFUV, Announces Dates With Wilco

The Alternative Side, on New York’s venerable WFUV 90.7, has good things to say about Vetiver‘s new album Complete Strangers, which features “a hazy, summery vibe that drifts from track to track.” TAS’s Kara Manning talked with Vetiver’s Andy Cabic for an installment of Five Essential Albums that includes favorites from Shuggie Otis and Nick DeCaro. Vetiver, which recently toured Europe with Devendra Banhart, has several West Coast dates this month. The band has also just announced a handful of August dates with Wilco in the Mountain West region. CMJ, which featured the dates here, says the dates “ought to make any tasteful Americana fan stand up and cheer, or sit down and lay their arm over their significant other.”
