Zella Day Plays for FMQB SubModern, is Reviewed by Sputnik Music

Last week, Arizona native Zella Day was featured on an FMQB SubModern Session. The now LA-based songstress performed songs from her debut album, Kicker and sat down with FMQB’s Josh T. Landow to chat about the new release. Day discusses the different approaches she takes to songwriting throughout the album, and how she navigates and bends different genres. Check out the full session here.

Zella Day also received a glowing review from Sputnik Music for her mysterious and alluring LP. The review praises the up-and-coming musician as “a multi-faceted artist who can, with very little warning, turn the tide from joyful and whimsical to dark and desolate. It’s the kind of stuff that only the very best artists have in them.” Read the full review here, and show Kicker some support this week!
