It has been a while since the Bird and the Bee released a full-length album, but new LP Recreational Love was worth the wait. Now that it’s here, the album is gaining accolades and new fans for the duo of Inara George and Greg Kurstin. Earlier this month, the LA Times spoke to the two of them about the process behind making Recreational Love, which was the most-added album in its first week on the CMJ charts. Find out how they balance their time in the band with other duties, including Kurstin’s busy production schedule and George’s motherhood. Learn all about the Bird and the Bee here.

The duo was also recently featured on the Frame, a daily program about the entertainment industry that runs on Southern California public radio affiliate KPCC. Go here to listen to John Horn conducting an informative interview that gives an in-depth look at the band’s writing and recording process.
