Magnet Magazine and American Songwriter Feature The Bird and the Bee; Recreational Love is Top Debut at CMJ & #6 Album on Spotify this Week

“We work simultaneously,” singer Inara George told Magnet Magazine about her collaborative work with producer Greg Kurstin in The Bird and the Bee, “and it’s a bit of a race sometimes to see who finishes first.” In the new Magnet interview, George and Kurstin discuss the process behind making their exciting new LP, Recreational Love. The feature is full of interesting insights, including the fact that lead single “Will You Dance?” was almost left off the album before Kurstin’s wife intervened. For more details, read the whole thing here.

American Songwriter just did a feature on George, naming her the “Writer of the Week.” The feature includes a long interview with the songstress that should be interesting to anyone who is interested in songcraft, as it delves deeply into her influences and methodology. Speaking of her collaboration with Kurstin, George told the magazine, “We just enjoy the process more when we’re together.” Read all about it here.
