Jeremy and the Harlequins are Interviewed by Groundsounds, Moving Up at CMJ

Groundsounds has an interview, here, with Jeremy and the Harlequins bandleader Jeremy Fury. Read it to learn about how the band came together to record debut LP American Dreamer, a stunning collection of vintage-sounding rock ‘n’ roll that recalls Elvis, Buddy Holly, and Roy Orbison while giving them a dark and modern twist. Fury explained his love for the retro sound, telling the site that “the reason it feels refreshing now is that everything in the world seems chaotic and fleeting. The nostalgic nature of music of the 50s and 60’s seems tangible and honest. You can hold those old albums. They feel real.”

American Dreamer is beginning to make an impact at college radio, notching its second consecutive week on the CMJ Radio 200 chart. Get the LP spinning at your station; the tracks “Trip Into the Light” and “You’re My Halo” are two great places to start.
