The Line of Best Fit Praises St. Germain, New LP Aims for Debuts

The Line of Best Fit has positive words for St. Germain, the French electronic pioneer’s self-titled first album in 15 years. About the long pause, LOBF speculates, “It might have taken Ludovic Navarre until now to figure out exactly how to set about the task of coming up with something fresh again… [but] he’s certainly managed it with St. Germain.” In a long and thoughtful review, writer Joe Goggins takes readers on a tour of the “characteristically spectacular” songs on the album, which feature Malawian influences and players from Brazil, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and elsewhere. Read it here.
