Lianne La Havas Plays Colbert and World Cafe, Debuts New Music Video
Lianne La Havas has been busy! Last week, she sat in with Jon Batiste and Stay Human on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, performing songs from her album Blood as well as standards for the audience between appearances by guest luminaries Hillary Clinton, Anthony Bourdain, and Carrie Brownstein. She also performed a version of “Green and Gold” with Batiste and his band, which can be viewed here.
Earlier this month, La Havas visited WXPN in Philadelphia to record a session for NPR‘s World Cafe. In addition to performing three songs from Blood and one from Is Your Love Big Enough?, she also talked to host David Dye about her inspirations, her developing maturing as an artist, and how “amazing” it is that her music has traveled all the way from England to find an audience in the United States. Listen here.
American fans will have to wait to see La Havas again, as her US tour is now concluded. But for those aching for something new from the artist, there’s a new video for “Green and Gold.” Watch it below.
