Billboard Premieres Kuroma’s Breeders Cover, Flood Streams Their New EP

Kuroma has a new EP, the follow-up to their excellent album Kuromarama from earlier this year, and it includes a cover of the Breeders‘ “Divine Hammer” in addition to three new originals. Billboard has the premiere of the “kick ass” track from the 20+ Centuries EP, as well as a blurb from leader Hank Sullivant explaining that “Last Splash is one of my very favorite albums.” Check out the song here, in a post that also includes an embed of Kuromarama standout “Love Is On The Way.”

Once you’ve had your appetite whetted, paddle on over to Flood Magazine for a stream of the entire EP. “With its wooshing channel surfs,” Flood writes, “‘Gonna Get Cool’ suggests T. Rex working out a whippet-driven dream, while the opening title track—a two-and-a-half-minute jagged gem—cruises by with so much confidence you’d swear it was a just-discovered lost classic.” To find out why Flood compares the band to Ex Hex and Tame Impala, go here.
