BeatRoute Interviews Zaac Pick, and Watch His Music Video for “Bright Ideas”

BeatRoute has an in-depth interview with Zaac Pick, the cross-Canadian artist whose beautiful LP Constellations is looking for Radio 200 debuts next week. Pick discusses the process of making the LP, which is not only his first full-length release, but also his first collection of recordings with a band. Interestingly, the organic and fluent album was put together while several of Pick’s bandmates moved away to other places, which meant that a lot of it was pieced together electronically with members sharing ideas back and forth via email. “It was like Christmas every few weeks,” Pick says in the interview. “You’d open up some new tracks and have no idea what to expect.” Read the whole thing here.

One of the song’s key tracks, “Bright Ideas,” was also captured as a music video in which human-like figures with glowing orbs for heads seek connection with each other as a cosmic event unfolds in the skies above them. Watch it below.
