Zaac Pick, Beloved by Confront Magazine, Shares Studio Footage and Looks for CMJ Debut

Confront Magazine has a lot of love for Zaac Pick‘s debut LP Constellations, saying, “From start to finish, you can literally feel the emotional pull of the lyrics and the intensity of not one but all of his tracks. Each song is gracefully put together including all elements of traditional folk music with a few modern twists.” The site’s review praises album’s emotional breadth, lauding its somber textural feel and sweeping arrangements as well as its capacity to provide lightness on songs like “Bright Ideas.” Check the review, which includes a video embed of that song, here.

Though it’s got Pick’s name on the cover, Constellations was hardly a solo endeavor. After creating a few EPs on his own, the album was the first that the Canadian singer/songerwriter put together with a backing band. A behind-the-scenes video, available on Youtube, shows Pick with the band in the studio and pays tribute to the hard work and musical talent that went into the LP. Watch it below:

Help Constellations make its Radio 200 debut next week by spinning “Slow Kind Light,” “Fury on My Mind,” or any of the album’s gorgeous highlights.
