Relix Premieres Marco With Love’s “Anything That’s Rock ‘N’ Roll”

Marco With Love is a band deeply steeped in the rock ‘n’ roll traditions of their musical forebears, with a raunchy sound that channels the gritty bar bands of the 60s and 70s and pays homage to the classics. So it makes perfect sense that, alongside blazing originals like “Big Black Dog” and “Promised Land (See You Dance),” the band’s oeuvre also includes multiple covers from rock’s canon. For their new video, the band chose to highlight its take on Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers’ rebellious 1975 classic “Anything That’s Rock ‘N’ Roll.”

When discussing the colorful video with Relix on the occasion of its premiere, singer Marco Agiro said, “When the team and I were reminiscing over some of our favorite music videos from the good ol’ days, we realized that the intro from Michael Jackson‘s music video for ‘Black Or White’ had been borrowed from Twisted Sister‘s ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It.’” Marco’s video borrows from both, in a beautiful way. Watch it, and learn the Waffle House-referencing title of the band’s upcoming LP, here.
