New Music From Josiah and the Bonnevilles – Digital Servicing Only

Tennessee’s Josiah and The Bonnevilles present their debut EP, Cold Blood. Comprised of four tracks co-produced and mixed by Dave Way (Fiona Apple, Paul McCartney, Macy Gray), the EP features songs from the band’s upcoming full-length album and showcasing songwriting that is refreshingly rooted in the earnest and honest lyrics of Josiah Leming. Leming is joined by  Stephen Johnson on guitar and Josh Nyback on bass and percussion, and together they’ve created a compelling and emotive sound with a firmness and gravity that belie their youth.

Of the title track, Leming says, “I wrote ‘Cold Blood’ when I was living between Vegas on my own and in LA with my ex, [and] it was not an easy song to write. I’m not sure if it’s a break up song, or a song about being a failure, or a fraud, I guess it’s a mix of all of those things.” Sad but hopeful, pained but insightful, nostalgic but forward-moving, the songs on Cold Blood reaffirm the principles of Americana as a genre that can offer listeners sincere and universal insight through genuine storytelling.

“Josiah‘s authenticity and top-notch songwriting shine through, as it’s quite obvious that the emotion comes from a very real place.”-Sodwee
