All The Real Girls Get Love From The Northwest Music Scene

All The Real Girls’ Elk City features an impressive roster of musicians, including members of Built To Spill, Death Cab For Cutie, The Long Winters, Pell Mell, and the Lashes along with producer John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Los Campesinos!). Northwest Music Scene says the record “lives up to the high expectations set having such a long list of famously talented members,” delivering a solid listen “fused with Americana and an enticing story.” The album is based upon stories told to bandleader Peter Donovan during a chance encounter with a world-weary old woman, and Donovan’s “eccentric storytelling is uniquely reflected and combined with the musical talents of All The Real Girls members to produce a different and flavorful album … [that] manages to entertain with its creative lyricism while impressing with its authentic and enticing instrumentals.”
