Rebecca Schiffman Finds Fans at WLUR and KCRW
WLUR likes Rebecca Schiffman‘s new self-titled LP, writing in a review that the album has moments that resemble “late-’90s-vintage twee at its finest, reminding [reviewer Jeremy Franklin] of early Camera Obscura.” Noting the album’s contribution from Nels Cline and its Robyn Hitchcock influence, the station concludes that Rebecca Schiffman is “cutesy” and “off-kilter” and features “well-written, well-orchestrated indie pop tunes.” Read the whole thing here.
The album is also getting some attention at KCRW, where DJ Marion Hodges chose it as one of her “DJ Picks of the Month” for August. See all the DJ Picks here, and her quirky video for “Tips For Conquering Fear of Flying” below. Get Rebecca Schiffman on your charts this week!
