Anna Of The North Goes For Adds

Although they’ve yet to release a full album, the Oslo-based duo Anna of the North has found an international audience and viral success with an epic, swooning, and ethereal sound that, according to the FADER, “brings out Scandi-pop’s sensitive side.”

Soundfiction says that “Us,” the duo’s new single, is “a fascinatingly fragmented, synth-driven follow up to previous singles ‘Sway,’ ‘The Dreamer,’ and ‘Baby.'” Those songs combined for more than 10 million SoundCloud listens and almost 30 million Spotify streams, topping the Hype Machine charts and finding airplay on KCRW and the BBC along the way. According to the duo, “Us” is “about a relationship between two people with a really strong connection. When it’s so good it’s bad for you. All of us have had that special person you’ll never forget where the timing wasn’t right.”
