Beat Route Features Boreal Sons

Introducing Calgary’s Boreal Sons in a preface to a new feature on the band, Beat Route says the band’s songs are “earthly but angelic, grounded but lofty.” The feature hails the band’s new album You & Everyone, writing that the LP “contains the essence of previous Boreal Sons records, but emboldened through time and experience.” The new LP is the band’s first without a guitarist, and Beat Route explores that change with Boreal Sons singer Evan Acheson. “We tried to create textures within the spaces that would have previously been filled by a guitar, ” he says, and “in other cases we’ve treated the space left behind by the absence of guitar as another instrument.” Check out the whole feature right here.
