The Student Praises Dude York, New LP Lands at #3 NACC

Dude York has surged into the Top 3 at NACC with Sincerely, which was produced by John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Los Campesinos!, The Blood Brothers) and released via Hardly Art. The album isn’t just grabbing attention stateside – it’s also catching ears across the pond!

The Student, which is published by the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, recently reviewed the LP and concluded, “Sincerely is at heart a punk record with pop melodies and wildly catchy vocals. Dude York push the boundaries of conventional pop and carry it out perfectly.” The review lauds the trio for “subverting the pristine idea of what pop can be,” comparing the group to Nirvana and describing their sound as “cathartic.” Peep the whole thing here.
