NPR Streams San Fermin’s Belong

NPR streamed San Fermin‘s new album Belong last week in advance of its release. In a First Listen feature, reviewer Stephen Thompson wrote, “Particularly in the album’s busy opening half, listening to Belong is like opening a fire hydrant that sprays big, bold sounds and ideas… [bandleader Ellis] Ludwig-Leone was classically trained, and Belong reflects his commitment to maximizing the musicianship, cohesion and volume of a band big enough to whip up a serious ruckus.” This ruckus takes place under the accomplished and emotive lead vocals of Charlene Kaye (KAYE) and Allen Tate, who expertly handle Ludwig-Leone’s lyrics about “the natural human desire to find ourselves and own our desires.”
