107.7 The End Profiles My Goodness

“Things are different now,” wrote 107.7 The End last year in a detailed feature on Seattle’s My Goodness. The band started as the project of singer/guitarist Joel Schneider before developing into a true collaboration between Schneider and drummer/keyboardist Andy Lum. Now, they’ve blossomed into a four-piece and replaced much of their original blues-rock sound with lush arrangements and keyboards inspired by new wave. “We implemented different instruments now and aren’t really holding ourselves back,” Schneider told the radio station about the band’s new album Scavengers. First LP Shiver and Shake “was definitely a guitar record,” he said, “and… Scavengers [is] definitely not. Andy and I… kind of went crazy with it with synth sounds, samples and a lot more things going on.”
