Coast Modern, On Tour Soon, Talks With LA Weekly
Although Coast Modern has steadily been releasing singles and gathering a fan base since last year, Luke Atlas and Coleman Trapp have been somewhat mysterious when discussing its backstory. That’s beginning to change with the release of the duo’s self-titled debut LP, which coincided with a significant LA Weekly feature on the group. Fans will be interested to know that the duo actually met while working on a NASA-commissioned hip hop project (?!), and they’ll also gain insights about how they recorded the 18 songs on the LP – in “a studio apartment,” the band says, “so it’s a studio in both senses of the word.” Read the feature here.
