Baeble Hosts Coast Modern, Who Hit #22 at NACC Last Week
“The easiest way to describe Coast Modern’s sound,” writes Baeble Music, “is Cage the Elephant meets Grouplove meets Tame Impala: vibrant, wavy, west coast vibes with an edgy, alt-rock twist… From the Beach Boys to Weezer, [the duo’s self-titled debut LP] has hints of every sonic inspiration imaginable. This genre-bending approach could have felt overwhelming and disconnected, but Coast Modern have a certain precision to their writing that makes the fusion seem natural.” We couldn’t agree more, and it seems like much of the NACC panel feels the same way – the album shot to #22 on last week’s chart! Thanks to everyone who has supported this fantastic new group – keep the spins coming!
Baeble has a stream of the album on its site, but that’s not all. Go here to see an acoustic session with the band’s Luke Atlas and Coleman Trapp that was filmed recently at Baeble HQ.
Fans of the large, electronically-tinged sound of the duo’s LP will also want to catch them live this autumn. Their first national headlining tour starts next week – go see them!
