KCRW and Consequence of Sound Showcase Kan Wakan’s “Tuesday”

Kan Wakan‘s “Tuesday” was KCRW’s Top Tune on Halloween, and the station praised it for being “meticulously crafted.” The track, which features Rachel Fannan and Avi Buffalo, can be streamed here.

Consequence of Sound has also gotten behind the track, premiering it recently along with an interview with project mastermind Gueorgui Linev. Linev’s production – combined with Fannan’s voice, Avi Buffalo’s guitar, and the strings of the Sofia Philharmonic – makes for one of Kan Wakan’s “most expansive and gorgeous compositions to date,” writes the site. Lyrically, “it’s also all too poignant for anyone who’s ever experienced unrequited love.” In the interview, Linev discusses what he’s learned from collaborators during the process of creating his 3-LP opus Phantasmagoria.
