The Stranger Celebrates The Holidays With Dude York, On Tour Now

When you got your copy of Dude York's new album Halftime For The Holidays, was your first reaction to ask, "What the f*ck?"

Well, that's exactly what a patron at a local Seattle JCPenney asked the band as they left the store this summer carrying armloads of Santas and sports memorabilia. They'd been there to shoot the cheeky promo shots for the holiday set, which they made months ago "in a windowless basement decked out with a tree and Christmas decorations." The Stranger has a feature on the album and its creation, including insights from the band on how their final project eschewed advice from management to play it safe with their subject matter. Check it out here.

Dude York has a little more than a week left on a tour in which they're guaranteed to play hits from both Halftime For The Holidays and their hugely successful Sincerely LP.
