Magnetic Mag Premieres Dream System 8’s “It’s All Happening”

Magnetic Magazine recently premiered “It’s All Happening,” from Dream System 8‘s debut LP We Sleep Again. The site quotes the band’s Erika Electra about the song’s meaning – according to her, “The song is sort of an existential look at my life. I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of time, and how it is a line, moving forward in one direction. As I’ve gotten older, I can’t help but look back on my life and see what I’ve done with my time, with my life. At the time I wrote the song, I was feeling quite alone and felt that the life I was living was nowhere near the life I thought I would lead… I was thinking about how many things I’ve wanted to do, or things I’ve wanted to say to people, but haven’t, and I was realizing that the time is NOW. Life is happening NOW. There is no time like the present to do and say all of those things.”
