The Portland Mercury Recommends Sonny Smith

The Portland Mercury printed a profile on Sonny Smith last month in advance of his show at the famed Mississippi Studios. According to the paper, the singer and multi-instrumentalist has made an album that “centers on hook-heavy pop, channeling Ric Ocasek and Tom Petty.” Smith’s new Dan Auerbach-produced album Rod For Your Love, the Mercury writes, “is one of his finest musical declarations.” Read the full profile right here.
