Afropunk calls Sunny War‘s With The Sun “an album where the most defiant moments tend to be the quietest, demanding you listen close.” In an article accompanying a premiere of the LP earlier this year, the site wrote that “impressive guitar chops [get] a workout beneath a heartbreaking vocal delivery. Upon its release, the album was also called essential by Bandcamp, which said the record is “a gorgeous, meticulously-constructed record that touches on folk and blues and country without ever owing a clear debt to any single one of them. Read that review here, and get With The Sun in rotation today. Sunny War is aiming for her NACC 200 debut this week!
