KEXP Interviews Fruit Bats’ Eric D. Johnson

KEXP has a feature on Eric D. Johnson of Fruit Bats. In an intimate interview, he discusses the theme of his new album and all the feelings and experiences that informed his writing process. When asked the meaning of the album’s title, Gold Past Life, Johnson says, “it refers to nostalgia and the notion of some sort of past that’s gilded in your mind. You know, thinking of the past in a romanticized way that might not actually be the reality.” He delves further into the meaning of the album in the interview, which you can read here.

Fruit Bats are also currently on tour, so if you’re a fan be sure to check if they’ll be coming to your city.
