LAist Posts The Bird And The Bee’s Letter To Van Halen

Inara George and Greg Kurstin, who together make up The Bird And The Bee, sent the members of Van Halen‘s classic lineup a letter explaining why they decided to devote an entire album to covering the group’s songs. “Thank you for teaching us how to rock,” the band writes in the letter obtained by LAist. “The album was such a fun and joyful experience for both of us.” Read the full thing here, via LAist.

Inara George is currently touring as The Bird and The Bee, bringing the magic of Van Halen across the US along with tourmates Samantha Sidley and Alex Lilly. She’ll be joined by Kurstin for a show in LA on September 11.
