Los Angeleno Spotlights Alex Lilly’s New Gig As a Personal Jingle Writer

Los Angeleno has a feature on Alex Lilly, who has been coping with the Covid-19 pandemic in a creative way. Lilly released her debut solo album 2% Milk last year, but she also works as a writer of commercial jingles. “When work and social life all came to a screeching halt,” the site explains, “she had to find something to do but wasn’t exactly feeling motivated or inspired.” That’s when Lilly began taking commissions to write jingles about friends and their pets; the first one was for a cat named Zeus. Now, she’s done more than 30 jingles. “Believe it or not, the more mundane the details, the funnier it can be,” Lilly says. Read all about it – and hear the jingles – right here!

2% Milk is at radio now, as is the Gothic Tropic remix of the title track.
