The Good Ones’ Producer, Ian Brennan, Writes An Essay For BOMB

Producer Ian Brennan, who has won Grammys for his work with Tinariwen and Rambln’ Jack Elliot, recently submitted a long essay to BOMB about “The Lost Art of Raw Recording.” In it, he details many of the recording projects he’s done in the field around the world over many years, including with The Good Ones. Overall, the article is a fascinating look into how records like their most recent album Rwanda, You Should Be Loved are made. Also, there’s a great anecdote about recording the moans of bandleader Adrien Kazigira‘s cow.
