Samantha Sidley Gets Interior For A Quarantine Video – See It On Buzzbands
Buzzbands has the “Quarantine Edition” of Samantha Sidley‘s “Interior Person,” which served as the title track of her debut, pioneering queer jazz debut LP last year.
In the Nigel DeFriez-directed video for the track, Sidley is filmed by herself – a contrast, as Buzzbands notes, to the packed group shots in her colorful 2019 clip for ‘I Like Girls.” According to Sidley, “I honestly had no idea quite how poignant this song would become. It was written as a positive twist or response, if you will, to the isolation that accompanies depression. The song has taken up a new meaning during the pandemic, which has pushed all of us to be more isolated physically and emotionally.” See it, via Buzzbands, here, and spin Samantha Sidley this week!
