B. Wurtz, Appearing Virtual for CAP UCLA This Weekend, Soundtracks Hyperallergic Podcast
B. Wurtz, the acclaimed visual artist, just released his first musical album, Some Songs, via Hen House Studios. The album features amazing musicians, including Milo Gonzalez, A’da Da Bassman, Paul Allen, Gavin Gamboa, Particle Kid, and Sunny War. One of the album’s tracks, “The Shady Road,” has been featured in a Hyperallergic podcast exploring the artistic world of the Taíno people. “Taíno civilization was decimated by Christopher Columbus and other European explorers during first contact,” Hyperallergic explains, “but the legacy of these people, who inhabited what is today called the Caribbean, continues to this day.” Learn about them, and enjoy B. Wurtz’ song, right here.
B. Wurtz will join Sunny War and Particle Kid this week for the CAP UCLA Tune In Fest where his videos for the songs “Today” and “Start Here” will premiere. Learn more about the festival here.
