Sweet Relief Thanks The Road Angel Project

“It’s been incredible to see the music community come together during this pandemic, and [The Road Angel Project] is another example of good people doing good things,” says Aric Steinberg of The Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. Founded in 1993 to assist Victoria Williams with medical bills after an MS diagnosis, the fund has grown to provide service to the music community through financial assistance towards insurance premiums, prescriptions, housing, food, and alternative therapies not covered by insurance. At the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, Sweet Relief stepped in to provide help to all sorts of people in the music industry who have now found themselves out of work or under medical duress.

To help spread awareness and raise funds for Sweet Relief, The Bird and The Bee’s Inara George created the Road Angel Project. Starting with a special version of her song “Sex In Cars” featuring Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, George’s Release Me Records has issued several bundles of tracks from artists within George’s illustrious circle. All four of the Road Angel Project releases have been conveniently compiled on this Spotify playlist. To learn more about Sweet Relief – or to donate, or apply for help – visit their website here.
