Analogue Trash recently shared “Get A Rocket,” one of three singles recently released by Melpo Mene. “The Swede spent much of the last few years in America, working in TV and pop, but here he returns to his indie roots,” the site notes. “The song reflects on mortality and questions surrounding religious tradition, he says, but does so in a gentle yet pointed style. The indie-folk arrangement has an ethereal tone, shadowing the vocals, while the lyrics are honest and, at times, stark. Melancholy is rarely this catchy.”
