“I can’t get involved with politics,” says James Yorkston in a recent interview with Aquarium Drunkard. “It distresses me too much. I can’t get involved with the nearing…with the forthcoming end of mankind, the environmental apocalypse. I just can’t get involved with these things. I think that I’m in this position where I can make music for a living. And that’s what I have to do, and that’s why I have to concentrate on it. It’s a very privileged position.” Yorkston, whose new album with The Second Hand Orchestra is at radio now,  spoke to AQ about a lot of things – his working relationship with Domino, how the record was made, and more.
